Community Connections for the Poor and Homeless

We love the energy and enthusiasm groups of volunteers bring to the ministry. We want you to come back again and again. Toward that end, we make every attempt to provide you with meaningful service opportunities and a positive overall experience through Community Connections.

Your group can connect with UGM in a variety of ways:

Meal Servers

For more information on serving meals at one of our shelters, please call (509)535-8510.

Chapel Providers

Churches and small groups partner with UGM to provide chapel services at the Men’s Shelter seven nights a week throughout the year. Contact Ron Molina ([email protected]) for more information.

Women’s Auxiliary

A vital partner to the ministry, UGM’s Women’s Auxiliary meets five times throughout the year. Representatives help to keep the cause of homelessness and the work of the Union Gospel Mission top-of-mind in their individual churches, as well as performing a wide variety of service projects. For more information, contact Laurie ([email protected] or 509-535-8510 Ext. 109).

Employment Partners

Local businesses can partner with the Mission to make an impact by providing real-world experience and job training through our Vocational Advancement department. Contact Tiffany Riddle ([email protected] or 509-532-3855) for more information.

A variety of UGM staff members are available to speak to your church, club or small group. If you’re interested in scheduling a speaker for an upcoming event, contact Laurie Willson ([email protected]).
